Is the GP consultation really free?
Yes, always. Your first consultation with a licensed general practitioner is free, and you don't need a card to book. You only pay if you choose to go ahead with treatment, medication or a document, and you'll always see the exact price first. A specialist consultation, when one is genuinely needed, is priced separately and always shown before you decide.
Why does it say "from $40"?
Most treatments start at around US$40. The exact price depends on what you need. It's confirmed clearly before you pay anything.
Why are prices shown in US dollars and not rupiah?
US dollars are the most recognised currency in the world, so they're a clear reference point wherever you're from. Payment itself is always settled in Indonesian rupiah at the current rate, by card, transfer or cash, and the exact amount is confirmed before you pay.
Why are some services priced on request?
Home visits, lab tests and IV drips depend on your location, the clinic or nurse we coordinate, and exactly what you need. You get the exact price during your free GP consultation, always before you pay.
Are there any hidden fees?
No. Medication and delivery are quoted up front, and the price you're shown is the price you pay.
What if the doctor recommends I don't need treatment?
Then you pay nothing. The GP consultation was free, and you're only charged for treatment or items you actually choose.
What payment methods do you accept?
We prefer digital payment: major international cards, direct bank transfer via Wise, and local payment methods. Rather pay cash? That works too, at two minimarket chains with branches all over Bali. You'll confirm everything before any payment is taken.
The GP consultation is free, so why isn't the medication?
Medication and prescription documents are separate, regulated healthcare services, so they carry their own cost. Bali Doc is a private healthcare provider, so treatment is self-pay, and many travel and private insurers reimburse it afterwards. You always see the exact price before you pay.
Can I use my travel or private health insurance?
We work on a pay first, claim back basis. You pay Bali Doc directly, and we provide everything your insurer typically needs: official receipts, a medical report and our registered company details. Bali Doc is a fully registered Indonesian healthcare provider, and patients routinely reclaim their costs with our paperwork.
