Couldn't bring your meds?

Stuck without your medication in Bali? You have options.

Many medications are restricted at Indonesian customs, and bringing the wrong thing can mean serious trouble. Rather than risk it, talk to one of our doctors. Where it's appropriate and legal, our doctors can prescribe a locally-available equivalent, and a licensed partner pharmacy delivers it to you.

Talk to a doctor, free

Honest about what's possible. Some medication, including controlled substances, requires a specialist consultation and may be restricted under Indonesian law. Our doctors will always be straight with you about what they can and can't do, and point you to safe, legal options.

Your questions, answered

Can you really deliver medication after an online consult?

Yes. After your video consultation, if the doctor prescribes medication, it's dispensed by a licensed, BPOM-registered pharmacy and delivered to your hotel or villa, usually the same day.

Can you help if I couldn't bring my medication into Bali?

Often, yes. Many medications are restricted at Indonesian customs. Rather than risk it, our doctors can assess you and, where appropriate, prescribe a locally-available equivalent, delivered to you by a licensed partner pharmacy.

Can you deliver any type of medication?

Most everyday medications, yes. Some medication, including controlled substances, requires a specialist consultation and may be restricted under Indonesian law. The doctor will always tell you clearly what's possible and suggest safe, legal alternatives where they exist.

Do I have to see a doctor first?

For prescription medication, yes. A quick video consultation with a licensed general practitioner is required, and it's free. For over-the-counter pharmacy items that don't need a prescription, we can often help directly via WhatsApp.

The GP consultation is free, so why isn't the medication?

Medication and prescription documents are separate, regulated healthcare services, so they carry their own cost. Bali Doc is a private healthcare provider, so treatment is self-pay. You always see the exact price of medication and delivery before you pay. No surprises.

Do I have to buy anything after the free GP consultation?

No. If advice is all you need, the consultation ends there, free. If the GP recommends treatment, you decide: you see the exact price first, and if you'd rather not go ahead with the prescription, you pay nothing.

Why do you need a copy of my ID?

Not for the consultation itself: you can talk to a doctor without it. When prescription medication is dispensed, Indonesian regulations require the pharmacy to verify who it's for, so at that point we ask for a photo of your passport or ID, shared digitally. It's used only to issue your prescription to the right person and is handled confidentially.

Can I fill my prescription at another pharmacy?

Yes. A prescription issued by a licensed Indonesian doctor is valid at any licensed pharmacy in Indonesia, subject to their stock and the usual regulations. If you'd like the prescription document to take elsewhere, the prescription fee is simply paid before it's issued.

Can I get a prescription based on my doctor's advice from home?

Not directly: Indonesian law requires a prescription to be issued by a doctor licensed in Indonesia, after their own assessment. Do share your existing prescription, medical records or a letter from your doctor, in any language, we can work with them. They genuinely help the consultation. Where your medication isn't available in Indonesia, our doctor can often prescribe a locally available equivalent.

Is this legitimate?

Yes. Real licensed doctors, a BPOM-registered pharmacy, and Bali Doc is LegitScript Certified.
